Root Beer Birthday Redux

While I was in Asia last month, several of my daughters' birthdays passed by. Oh, sure, these magical events were celebrated by the home folk with our traditional flowers, balloon, and cake ceremonies.

 But let's be honest. When Mama is missing, a birthday party just ain't the same.

So now that I'm back, I'm honoring the year-older daughters with a few belated birthday surprises. Tonight we broke out some celebratory root beer floats - with a special color straw for the special princess - and I must say, they were unconventionally delicious.
