Today, I painted.
Three bedrooms. Walls, ceilings, floors.
Brushes, rollers, tape, stepladders, extension poles, drop cloths, damp rags, big pots full of paint.
Almond, apricot and bleached linen.
Their humble servants, the primers.
I spent all day long with these friends of mine. And when the sun went down, and darkness fell, I put down my brush and took a break.
For my break, I went to Home Depot and bought more paint.
Then I came home and painted some more.
It's been a busy and extremely satisfying day.
