You know that moment, after a long rainy and stormy day, when the clouds unexpectedly part and the sun suddenly breaks through? And the world looks reborn, the sky glows with an extraordinary light, and all you want to do is go outside and be a part of it?

Yeah, that was today.

After a long, rainy afternoon spent cleaning the garage, I headed down to the beach in Mukilteo to take in the freshly washed evening skies. Check out the glories I found there, captured just on my lil ol' iPhone and completely unedited.

We saw a seal pop his head up above water for a quick breath, listened to a flock of birds calling out to one other as they fished for their dinner, and rode the big waves from the ferry that rocked our floating dock this way and that.

Happiest place on earth.
